Following an armored car robbery that leaves four guards dead and three crooks on the run, Lt. Corrigan from homicide leads the investigation. He tracks down one of the thieves, an antiques dealer involved in the heist, who panics and flees with the stolen money. The Spectre, pursuing him, causes the thief's car to crash off a cliff. Moving to the next thug, the Spectre confronts him in his hideout, melting him away with his supernatural powers. The third criminal attempts to escape on a plane to South America, but the Spectre boards and disintegrates him, leaving only a skeleton in the aisle. All three murderers meet their demise under the Spectre's wrath.
