Aquaman discovers his family missing and is ensnared by Black Manta. Accused by Karshon of theft, he breaks free and confronts Karshon, revealed to be The Shark, Green Lantern's old foe. The Shark traps Mera and Aquababy, initiating a deadly hunt, seeking Aquaman as his ultimate prey. Injured but resourceful, Aquaman leads The Shark to a nuclear waste dump, where radiation reverts him to a normal shark, freeing his family.
