At Cornell Medical Center, her uncle Mortimer questions the mounting costs, prompting Sable to explain their mission: hunting international terrorist Jack O’Lantern. After surviving a flower-bomb attack, Sable seeks Spider-Man’s help, placing an ad that draws attention from Mary Jane, J. Jonah Jameson, and Jack himself. Sable later foils a robbery, tracks a thug named Snake, and confronts Jack O'Lantern in a tenement. She defeats his men but lets Jack escape.
