Batman: Dark Knight Returns #3

Recently awakened from a long catatonic state, the Joker begins resuming his twisted schemes while still confined. He manipulates his psychiatrist, the fame-hungry and Batman-hating Dr. Bartholomew Wolper, into believing he's sane and remorseful. Wolper, seeking to discredit Batman, plans to showcase Joker on live TV to portray him as a victim of Batman's "psychosis." Despite police security, Joker massacres the studio audience with smile gas and escapes. Batman pursues him to Selina Kyle, now a broken ex-Catwoman. Joker uses her to lure Batman into a deadly chase, ultimately leading to a brutal fairground showdown. Meanwhile, tensions rise with Superman and government forces.
