Stephen Strange wakes up after fifteen hours to find the New Avengers having lunch. Luke insists he join the team. Spider-Man is suspicious of Victoria Hand due to her connection to Norman Osborn, but Cage and Jessica Jones vouch for her. The team discusses wages, with Cage initially resistant until reminded of their financial situation. They hire Squirrel Girl as a babysitter and Wong as their housekeeper, who warns against anyone touching his kitchen.
