The story explores Josh's dilemma: how much he desires superhuman abilities and whether he's willing to risk his sanity for them. Delving into events four decades prior, a cohort of superhumans emerged in San Francisco under the guidance of a man whose experimental drugs granted them extraordinary powers. As the plot unfolds, it becomes evident that time has progressed, presenting new challenges and complexities for the team, with victory no longer guaranteed as their luck dwindles.
