Perched atop the Hollywood Hills, Spider-Woman reflects on her life when she spots Brother Grimm attacking a diamond dealer’s car. Confronting him, she’s blasted off a cliff but recovers mid-air—only to find him gone. Meanwhile, his thug plants the stolen diamonds in a car and stages a fake drunk-driving crash, but the Hangman intervenes and vows to bring Brother Grimm to justice. Jessica later learns of her father’s ties to Pyro-Technics and investigates, only to be trapped in a deadly wind tunnel. Escaping narrowly, she confronts Brother Grimm, but Hangman “rescues” her—declaring she’ll remain his prisoner for her own safety.
