Venom: Lethal Protector #5

At the Life Foundation, Carlton Drake separates Eddie Brock from his symbiote, seemingly killing Venom. Spider-Man fights through security, discovering Eddie is alive but in a coma. As Drake plans to dissect Brock, five new symbiotes are unleashed to destroy Spider-Man. Eddie awakens, and with Spider-Man's help, they fight the symbiotes. Eddie re-bonds with his symbiote, becoming Venom again. After using a destructive ray, Venom seemingly destroys the symbiotes. As the base self-destructs, Spider-Man escapes, but Venom survives and forces a driver to take him to San Francisco for unfinished business.
