A scientist leads an expedition to Borneo to find the missing link, referred to by locals as living on "midnight mountain." Upon reaching the area, they encounter Gorgilla, the creature they seek, and tensions arise. When a T-Rex threatens them, Gorgilla defends the explorers, forging a bond. After defeating the T-Rex, Gorgilla is left exhausted, prompting the scientists to allow him to remain in his habitat as a gesture of gratitude for saving them.
