Greetings to THE PEOPLE. It's Rob here. Or Bobby, as many of my fellow comic folk know me.
For the last 15 years, Northern Comic Co. was nothing but a dream. Some disheartening news in late 2023 would lead to a tremendous leap of faith. I made a huge bet on myself and formed my own business!
At Northern Comic Co., I am committed to providing you with a website where you can shop for comics at a fair price. I believe in being transparent, so every comic book on the website will have its front and back cover scanned. There are no colour effects, retouching, or special cropping done to the scans to make the comics look better. What you see is what you get, blemishes and all. I will also give an honest estimate on the grade I believe the raw books would receive if sent off for grading. Additionally, I will specify any notable damage or restoration that I'm able to identify! I would love to expand into video games, supplies, and other things that bring value to fellow collectors in the future.
Over the last few years I've seen an insatiable desire for positive and informative content about comic books and the stories therein. It's not enough to head over to Wikipedia and read a summary of a comic series, or see a TikTok of some cherry-picked panels from a new book -- THE PEOPLE want more! I've also seen that there are many folks excited to begin collecting comics but aren't sure how or where to start. I hope that the blog here can inform you about industry news, ongoing or current events, and help steer you toward new and exciting things regardless of where you're at in your collecting journey!
I want to ensure that comics remain an approachable hobby for everyone! If I can do all of this while being able to carve out a living for myself, I'll be a happy man. I hope that you'll accompany me on the journey, even if only for a little while.
