The Freedom Fighters arrive on Earth-One to aid America against crime, but they quickly face off against the Silver Ghost and King Samson in Times Square. Phantom Lady discovers a new power - intangibility - during the battle, but the Silver Ghost manages to escape. Arrested for causing a disturbance, they're brought before District Attorney David Pearson, who offers them a new headquarters. However, their respite is short-lived as the Silver Ghost strikes again, turning three members of the team into silver statues.
