The Inhuman Royal Family arrives at the Great Refuge to find Maximus collaborating with Shatterstar, who has imprisoned Crystal and Quicksilver. Black Bolt chooses surrender to prevent harm, but Lockjaw secretly teleports Karnak and Triton away. They join forces with Iridia and other free Inhumans. Meanwhile, Black Bolt is left chained without sustenance. Karnak frees the Royal Family while Triton leads Shatterstar to the Mirror of Eternity, reflecting his attacks back at him, resulting in his demise. Unaware of this, Black Bolt finally breaks and unleashes his devastating scream.
