Two truant children in Highland Park, Detroit, encounter the Avengers Quinjet, where Luke Cage advises them to return to school. Mistaken for a drug dealer, Cage threatens local dealers to stop. Reporter Nicolette James questions Captain America, who explains their mission is to clean up the neighborhood. Iron Man calls the Avengers to action after Director Hill reveals footage of Alpha Flight's death by a glowing man. Iron Man contacts Ms. Marvel, and Spider-Man is assigned to lead "Team Two." The Sentry, initially hesitant, is ordered to join. Michael, the glowing man, reveals his name but reactivates Ms. Marvel’s cosmic powers during a confrontation.
