As Red Sonja roams the forests of Argos, she sees a warlord named Andar of Bezfarda assaulting a unicorn. He severs the unicorn's horn, hoping to claim its magical powers. Red Sonja jumps down to rescue the creature from its attackers. She rides away with the unicorn, and a strong bond quickly forms between them.
Soon after, two of Andar's servants inform him they have seen Red Sonja with the unicorn. One implies that Andar fears Sonja, provoking Andar to strike him with his sword. He then assembles his troops and leads an expedition to track down Red Sonja.
When Andar and his men finally reach her, he’s stunned to discover the unicorn’s horn has regrown. His soldiers overpower Sonja and prepare to kill her, but the unicorn defends the She-Devil by charging at Andar with its horn.
Once the dust settles, Sonja understands that such a noble creature belongs free, and they go their separate ways.
